I started diving in June 2024. I continued with ongoing education until becoming a NAUI Training Assistant. My goal is to become a Divemaster and eventually a NAUI Instructor. I am also certified to service and repair NEX Scuba equipment. I got into diving as a trial and immediately fell in love with the sport. I am diving all the time. You can find me diving in a wreck at 130 fts or diving with 20 sharks at 80 fts. As my instructor numbers suggest, starting around 1969, so do my diplomas written on papyrus. I must have been 8 1/2 years old when I first became a NAUI instructor! I have seen much of the growth of this industry since its early stages. I have felt its dynamism, its dedication to safety, and how its standards have changed. I have worked tirelessly to expand opportunities for Hispanics to become instructors by translating many of the educational and audiovisual aids into Spanish. Many of my Instructor Training Courses (ITC) and Instructor Trainer Workshops (ITW) are in Spanish. I admit that I am spoiled by Florida waters ... good visibility in warm, calm waters with plenty of marine life just 10-15 minutes of boating. I'm sorry if that hurts! You can see in our Calendar that we are very busy with a whole range of courses, including the very popular MASTER DIVER and DIVEMASTER. As COURSE DIRECTOR, I dedicate a lot of time and resources to the planning and execution of the Instructor Courses and NAUI crossover programs in which we participate. All our dives are with NITROX, due to its physiological advantages over air.

BIO

.I tried diving for the first time in Cayo Largo (Florida) in 2002 and fell in love immediately. After completing my Open Water certification, I started diving every weekend. For the past 20 years, I have dedicated myself to continuing education and awareness within the diving community. My obsession with diving has given me the opportunity to dive all over the world and experience a multitude of ocean environments. I am a professional instructor with the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) and teach basic NAUI diving classes, including specialized courses. I strive to help people enjoy underwater activities with confidence, safety, and to appreciate the environment as fundamental attributes.

BIO
Sport and Nitrox Diving Instructor at NAUI, FAAS, and IANTD *Adapted Diving Instructor for People with Different Abilities at IAHD and FAAS-CMAS Specialization in Diving for People with Different Abilities. I started this deep encounter with my breath in 2025, as an activity to do with the whole family. As I dove, I increasingly felt curious to know more about sport diving. With curiosity and for personal safety, I continued advancing through the courses, and I found the dives and the knowledge I was acquiring more and more fascinating. When I began to tell my friends about these experiences, they let me know that it made them feel as if they were diving with me in each immersion I described. Some took the courses and became certified, whom I helped with explanations on various subjects. And thus, I started to become aware that I enjoyed conveying my knowledge, and that people received it well and felt safe. This is how I navigated my path through the different certifications that this wonderful sport has. Here I am, as a NAUI Instructor, IANTD, FAAS CMAS and also immersed in the enjoyment of diving for people with disabilities, therefore also an IAHD Instructor, thus founding the Therapy Diving School Con Calma Buceo. "I invite you to try, regardless of your age and even if it's only once in your life, to feel the sensation of weightlessness and the only sounds you hear will be your own breathing and the beating of your heart in every dive you make." I assure you it's a sensation that words cannot explain; you have to live the experience yourself. I look forward to seeing you!!!
